The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics in partnership with AmeriCorps is looking for 20 energetic individuals that can meet the challenge of conducting drug awareness education and training programs across the state of Oklahoma. The program is called COPNET, and stands for Community-Oriented Proactive Narcotics Education and Training. The requirements for employment are:

 

1.   Be at least 20 years of age

2.   Possess a valid Oklahoma Drivers License.

3.   No felony or drug convictions. 

4.   Pass a background investigation and polygraph.

5.   Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Power-Point.

6.   Pass an interview board with the Director of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, or his designee, the Agent in Charge of Training, and the COPNET Project Director.

7.   Be able to travel to different areas of the state.

8.   Willingness to positively impact the lives of young people in Oklahoma!

 

If you are a college student

A. Have attained at least a Jr, Sr, or Graduate level at a      state Certified College.

    B. Have at least a 3.0 GPA.

C. Obtain a letter of recommendation from a professor            at the college you are attending.

 

 

 COPNET members will be teaching drug abuse awareness classes to Oklahoma’s children and concerned citizens. COPNET members will be part time employees and draw a living allowance of approximately $ 489.75 per month. (At the end of each year of service an educational stipend of $2,362.00 will be given to each eligible member that completes their 900 hours of service.)
